Ian awoke to darkness, sprawled across the mattress on his back. He felt that something was off, but he didn't know what. Yawning, he sat up and stretched. He turned to the side, smiling, expecting to see Wanda laying on the other side of the mattress, asleep, but she wasn't there. His smile disappeared.
"Wanda?" He received no answer.
He sprang to his feet and rushed to the red door that was blocking the exit. He wrenched it out of the way and it landed on the dirty, stone ground with a bang!
